Welcome back to our home away from home

Cold and wet in #Whistler this morning. That was absolutely fine by us. Provided us with the perfect excuse we needed to just hang local. And I mean really local. Alternated between stretching out on the expansive downstairs couch or wallowing in the snuggle comfort of our bed. Not too concerned about anything really, other than a simple coffee and a piece of toast.

6:30 am views - perfect stay-at-home weather
Views of and from the couch - carrying injuries from sock pressure

Had some tasks to complete - starting the car (actually was "scheduled" but didn't make it outside - it was too cold), ironing ( we had done the washing in #Halifax, so this was just really a background task to me listening to my latest @Jodi Picoult book - I do love #Logan's online library - I can be anywhere in the world at any time and borrow a book), checking the finances and reconciling the accounts (that took @Mac all day, interspersed with lounging and reintroduction to controlling the household music with #Google Home), and then there was neighbour reconnaissance.

A little behind on the paper work #reconciliation #balanced

A big responsibility here. Our neighbours had moved out the day before we left so now it's time to gather the Intel on who has moved in. The wet weather meant I didn't have a "hosing the garden" alibi- just had to listen for some movement. After hours of being on high alert - we are none the wiser, means we'll probably have to stay at home AGAIN tomorrow.

A good "listen" - kept me tuned for flight and down time today

Now we will have to content ourselves living life's adventures through the exploits of other travellers. Wonder where they will take us next. @M&I still a few days out, @C&G have been having a whale of a time down the Qld coast, @Kathy&Dave are exploring the outback towns (without trains - saving for next year), @Lloyd&Deb giving us the Tassie fix,  @Lynda's been swanning her way around Europe as a one armed bandit, @Adrienne is showing her independence in hostels in Europe, @Liz&Ross currently floating in a boat on the Mediterranean and about to hit Egypt, @Kirby's snapping great pics around Europe, @Kathy&Darryl are hosting @Tess&Colin in Europe and @Fi's peddling around NZ with the ladies. So many wonderful vicarious adventures. Think we need a few more rainy days to catch up.

Back to the drawing board for us - need to start over again, living as a local.

Meanwhile in Europe 🇪🇺 with @M&I

Taking it all in, in #Venice. Continuing to eat and drink their way around the canals

Pancakes - the breakfast if champions. At least there's fruit.
Hanging out in #Venice
