Setting new PBs for zzzzzs

Tuned in for the #Tillies from 1 a.m. till 3 a.m. and settled down for the morning at about 3:30 am. Can't believe it happened - and felt a little disoriented to find myself waking up at 1:05 pm! @Mac had woken and noon and that meant, as the last between the sheets, I had the extremely unfamiliar task of making the bed! Not sure when I have outslept @Mac or slept so late. A definite PB.

No "go horsey" action for a Saturday morning but still wanted to have a "working man's breakfast" or, in this case brunch, and opted to eat on the porch. Not sure what they are but we were in competition with these "waspy-bee" things for our food. Quite large and very slow - and for some reason really attracted to the omlette. You have to "bee-aware" that one doesn't perch on your fork full of food as you load up. As usual entertained by the local squirrels, darting around to clean up last night's leftovers.

Enjoying brunch with the locals

New focal point was the neighbour in the next property, who causally erected her hammock between two pine trees - perfectly positioned in the sun - and stretched out for a Saturday tanning session. Not sure I'd qualify as a local on the swim attire or the mount and dismount of the hammock.

@Mindy had left very early with the #girl_squad for @Mel's "say yes to the dress" appointments in #Vancouver. A long day with 2+ hours each way for the drive and definitely didn't see her till late in the evening. @Ian had a day off (yippee) and filled in his day with gym and pool time.

By the time we finished brunch and did a few little clean up jobs, it was hard to believe it was already 4.00 pm. Put on the walking shoes and headed out for a stroll with no particular goal in mind. Spoiled for choice here with so many trails and pathways and have to say there were LOADS of people, all ages, shapes, sizes and fitness levels going about their outdoor thing. Found ourselves at a map, spotted a bridge and headed for #Green Lake. Beautiful walk and very educational 😃

Plenty to see and do on the Valley Trail

Had strong reinforcement for keeping to the right on the paths so that the (very speedy) cyclists can pass you on the left.  Need to check RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT first as you cross the road and remember that the first car you encounter is coming from your LEFT.

Traffic controlled left to right on highway by flashing lights- to take vehicle straight across intersection - good luck - think we might be using the @Mindy method

The biggest one is the 4-way intersections that only have lights on the "main" Sea to Sky Highway of the intersection. Those drivers have a constant flashing green light to warn them that cars "might" be entering ... and the cars needing to join the highway have to "pick their moment." @Mindy's advice is that if you are stuck, you leave your car running, jump out and press the pedestrian crossing button to activate the lights on the highway to turn red - and that's your opening.  Hope I am quick enough as the passenger.

Combination of paved tracks and boardwalks

Still on foot - and lots more to cover - maybe we can work uo to the bikes AND canoes

@Ian was hard at work in the gym just behind us at Meadow Park - we were tempted by the bridge crossing to Green Lake

The #Valley Trail was well signed - you get information on the birds and animals at the viewing spots, seats to sit and relax and take in the views, background on the geological formation and of course lots of "warnings" about bears. We were in no hurry and out mere 4 km took close to the 90 minutes.

Still smokey across the mountains

Still a definite haze of smoke across the mountains and a strong smell of burning forest. Definite cancellation of tomorrow's event has been confirmed.

EBike adventure for @Mac with @Mindy and @Ian needs to wait until another day

On the subject of PBs - still got those wheels turning on the #Peloton and kicking goals (got myself in a bit of a pickle last night - at 11.00 pm realised I hadn't done my little sess - so had to jump on late - made sure I was on "first up" today .... which was coincidentally about 3 pm) and managing to keep the Wordle streak intact. Busting to see what the word is tomorrow - @Carolyn has amped up my motivation by referencing the #Fab5.
Busting to crack this hint
